Kannur Catechism  General Convention (2016 - 2017) was held on 21 May 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrow's Church, Pilathara

Bishop Alex Vadakumthala celebrated Holy Mass at 9.30 am with the presence of Catechism Diorcter, Fr. Jacob Vijesh, Fr. Joseph D'Cruz, and Fr. Manoj Palakkal Mathew. The catecheism general convention meeting started soon after the Holy Mass. The Catecheism Director, Fr. Jacob Vijesh welcomed all, Sr. Swarga DSS read the annual report. later Mr. Antony Norohna - KLCA State President, Sr. Shilpa DSS - CRI Kannur Unit President, Mr. Dennis Johnson - Head Master of Madai Church, Miss Jincy Maria - St Thomas Church gave the felicitation. Rt. Rev. Alex presided over the function and the message that the fire of the faith must spread in the person and family. Thereafter, Scholership 2016-2017 (Fr. Titus Memorial Award) was distibuted to the students who performed excellent result in the acedemic year. the meeting was ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Paul Justine - Catechism Head Master, Pilathara Church.
